The sound damping values are measured in accordance with German standard DIN 4109.
*) In the case of individual wall designs, higher sound insulation for THERMODUR wall elements may be specified in accordance with an inspection report of the Rhine-Westphalian Technical Inspection Agency in Essen dated 1 May 1999.
The wall elements are always plastered on one side (1 cm thick, 18 kg/m2).
If both sides are plastered, there is a further increase of 2 dB in the sound insulation value measured.
These values also apply to elements with core insulation. |

The natural pumice stone aggregate also ensures excellent values for both internal and external noise. There is effective insulation of both outbound and inbound airborne sound.
